Classical Studies (The History of Ancient Greece and Rome) is taught at both Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate level.

 The Junior Certificate course involves the study of 5 areas, two in Ancient Greece (Troy and the Minoan and Mycenaean Cultures) and three in Ancient Rome (Julius Caesar, The Roman Army and Pompeii)

 The Leaving Certificate course consists of four areas (Ancient Epic, the Life of Alexander The Great, Roman Art and Architecture and the Augustan Writers, Horace, Livy, Ovid, Propertius and Virgil.)

 Both courses favour the enthusiastic reader and complement greatly History and English. Literature.

 Time allotted:-
